An interdisciplinary quarterly of The Strong, the American Journal of Play® is a forum for discussing the history, science, and culture of play. The Journal aims to increase awareness and understanding of the role of play in learning and human development and the ways in which play illuminates cultural history.

The Fun Fed

Since 2005, we have been running energetic, uplifting and playful singing, dancing and games workshops for adults in London. You'll find us at our current home in Angel, Islington, a 21st Century village hall complete with comfy sofas, home-made bunting and a big space ot run around in just a short walk from the tube station.

Come along to have a laugh, forget all your worries, enjoy time with your friends and meet new ones, get some exercise without taking it too seriously, and try something a bit different. You'll leave feeling relaxed and invigorated, with a smile on your face.

Play's the Thing 2011 was an Escape Artists production supported by a grant from the European Commission's Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency. Escape Artists is a charity that promotes mental wellbeing through the arts. The company works across sectors and art forms with homeless people, mental health service users, young people at risk, prisoners and other disadvantaged groups: providing structured routes into further education, training and employment. Play's the Thing 2012 is being produced in partnership with Seeds for Growth (more information to follow).
